Who can Enter?
This event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
Can I transfer my entry or obtain a refund?
Entry fees are non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers as per the terms and conditions.
If you register and need to withdraw from the event, a 50% refund can be given provided written notice is given to Council two weeks prior to the event (50% of the entry fee will be retained to cover administration costs). Exact date will be noted in the terms and conditions. After that date, all entry fees paid will be forfeited and no refunds will be issued.
All entries are non-transferable as per the terms and conditions.
Will you post my event kit/race bib?
Race kits are not mailed out. All runners will need to collect their race kit on the morning of the event. Race bib collection closes 30 minutes before each race starts.
What does my entrance fee go to?
Entry fees are used toward the costs of the event, including the online registration portal, credit card fees, race bibs, special event merchandise offers, medals, infrastructure at the start finish line, timing equipment and online management, first aid, and a road closure at Hedges Avenue.
Can I register on the day of the event?
Yes, registrations will be taken on the morning of the event from 6.40am in Freshwater Park and will close 30 minutes prior to each race. Please arrive early if you need to register, as you will need to complete a registration form. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
Can I participate with a pram?
The course is an out and back loop, and parts of the path can be narrow with runners passing in both directions. We would advise caution for anyone considering participating with a pram.
Can I apply for a preferred start?
The Cooks River Fun Run does not offer preferred starts, however we encourage self seeding on the day to minimise congestion at the start of the run.
